Hoodoo Brown BBQ is bringing back its Hoodoo Barbeque School just in time for “Summer School.”  Everyone who had their class cancelled due to corona will receive a special email with an early access code and get first shot at BBQ school.  Stay tuned to their Facebook and social media platforms for details!

Terrain Café in Westport has reopened!  The new limited hours are Friday 9-8, Saturday 9-8, and Sunday 9-4.

Until indoor dining resumes on 6/17, Match Burger Lobster is going picnic style!  Please consider ordering before your visit.  When you arrive, let them know your check number and the table number that you have selected, they will bring your order to you as soon as it's ready.  All tables are first come first serve. Pro Tip:  There are 4 picnic tables down the stairs past The Whelk that are directly on the water!

Carbone’s Kitchen (Bloomfield) and Carbone’s Prime (Rocky Hill) have launched new June specials as part of its “Carbone’s Curbside” takeout offering.  At Carbone’s Kitchen, every Wednesday and Thursday, purchase one large specialty pizza and get one small pizza free and every Wednesday through Saturday, the Lobster Boil is back – in takeout form!  At Carbone’s Prime ,every Wednesday get fried Chicken with cornbread for $19 (while they last!) and every Thursday enjoy New England inspired seafood specials.  Both locations also recently launched new house made specialty Craft Cocktail Kits, including Lavender Lemonade, Strawberry Basil Margarita, Bourbon Old Fashion and Blood Orange Martini.

Republic in Bloomfield has announced that it will remain closed until June 17, until they can open for indoor dining.

Hartford Restaurant Group has announced new plans for three of its Wood-n-Tap locations as Covid-19 restrictions continue.  Co-founder and co-owner Phil Barnett said its restaurant in Orange will close permanently, the Hartford location will undergo a major renovation and the opening of its new Enfield restaurant will be delayed. HRG’s newest restaurant on Palomba Drive in Enfield, was to have opened last month, but now will open at the end of summer.

The folks at Chowdafest are doing something novel for their fans during these pandemic times with a “ClamBake To Go” for this Father's Day on June 21, 2020.  “Given that so many parks, beaches and summer activities are either canceled or significantly curtailed, we wanted to give people a taste of summer with a clam bake all in one pot which you can easily cook at home either on your grill or stove” said Jim Keenan, Chief Experience Officer for Chowdafest. Consider stopping by Carmines Bar Grill Stage, located at 389 Main St in East Hartford.  They offer a scratch kitchen featuring house made pasta, a $3 Happy Hour, takeout, and a Patio!  Hours are Monday-Friday 3-11pm and Saturdays 5-11pm.

Jones Family Farms has some very ripe, delicious strawberries!  Because of the current climate, they will not be selling them at the farm.  Instead, you can get them from Stone Gardens Farm while supplies last. Their address is 83 Saw Mill City Road.
