When was the last time you visited Grace Farms? The stunning 80-acre space in New Canaan, Connecticut that supports initiatives in the areas of nature, arts, justice, community, and faith, and encourages participation locally and globally is a treasure to visit. Pritzker Prize-winning River building, is the focal point, having become an integral part of the landscape. Designed to resemble a rambling river, five transparent glass-enclosed buildings that each live beneath one flowing roof.  Here you will find The Sanctuary, a 700-seat amphitheater; the library, a staffed library with resources related Grace Farms Foundation's initiatives; the Commons, a community gathering space with 18-foot-long tables; the Pavilion; a welcome reception and conversation space with tea service; and the Court, an incredible underground recreational space used by local children and schools. Wander around the 80 acres of open meadows, woods, wetlands, and ponds and soak up all the breathtaking scenery.

In 2021 Grace Farms Foods was launched by Grace Farm’s Founder Sharon Prince along with Adam Thatcher  to share with the world and invite everyone to be part of their mission by offering our signature cookies, coffee, and tea.

The teas, Grace Farms Sips are USDA Organic Certified, pleasantly sweetened teas with organic stevia leaf for a natural and distinct finish and made up of Fair Trade Certified™ ingredients and were developed by Wilton resident Frank Kwei, who also developed the tea program at Grace Farms . Flavorful options range from Rooibos Chai (a warming blend with invigorating cinnamon, coriander, fennel, cloves and all spice notes), Spearmint Rose (a balanced, rejuvenating blend of bold spearmint, delicate rose petals, calendula and licorice root), Chamomile Citrus (a melodious blend of chamomile, orange peel and tulsi), Hibiscus Orange (a vibrant tea made with hibiscus, orange peel, lemon verbena and elderflower), and Lavender Goji Berry (a sophisticated blend of fragrant lavender, goji berries and burdock root).

Or perhaps you’re more of a coffee person. Grace Farms Drips is a delicious line of organic whole bean coffees handpicked, sorted and roasted to peak flavor, that invest in female farmers and entrepreneurs from women-led co-ops in Ethiopia, Colombia, and Indonesia. Coffee options include the signature River Roast (a balanced, full-bodied roast blend of organic coffee beans, claimed by many to be the most balanced cup of coffee ever tasted) and newly released, Fairtrade Certified Single Origin Ketiara (a full-bodied single origin coffee from Indonesia with hints of cocoa and brown spices) and Single Origin Asoprosierra (a medium-bodied single origin coffee from Colombia with notes of chocolate and tropical fruits).

Grace Farms has teamed up with New Canaan resident and award-winning chef, Silvia Baldini to create Grace Farms Chips - a Fair-trade salted chocolate chip that’s decadently sweet with a hint of sea salt. To ensure use of honorably sourced cocoa that supports the communities where it is sourced from, Grace Farms Foods has partnered with Guittard® Chocolate and its Cultivate Better™ program.  Other ingredients include Fairtrade Certified sugar and vanilla, organic flours, and butter from family owned farms in Vermont and New York. These are the first Fair Trade cookies available in the US.

Whether purchasing these for yourself or as a gift you’ll be glad to know that 100% of the company’s profits support Grace Farms Foundation’s humanitarian initiatives like forced labor, environmental sustainability, food security, and fractured communities. The teas, coffees and cookies can be purchased at Grace Farms, through their website and even on Amazon which recently launched Amazon’s Climate Pledge Friendly program, making it easier for customers to discover and shop for more sustainable products on Amazon, including many Fairtrade-certified goods.
