It's expansion time! Again! Hartford Baking Company is delighted to announce that they will be adding a fourth retail location in the Spring of 2024. The new cafe will be located at 150 Sullivan Ave in South Windsor CT, and will have the same vibe, menu, and bread selection of the two current West Hartford locations, plus an expanded menu and some other exciting new offerings. Why South Windsor? Company President, Scott Kluger says: "We've had our eye on this market for a while and were thrilled to learn about the development project at 150 Sullivan Ave. When we found out we had an opportunity to be the anchor tenant AND a drive-through, we had to say yes. This new location will be our biggest with not only a drive through, but also a "market concept:” prepared foods, more sandwiches on the menu, and a much larger bakery showcase and much more variety."More information on the new location will be provided as construction continues. The location is over 3000 square feet and will also feature call ahead and online ordering features, and most exciting of all, a drive through, for fast easy access to delicious coffee and sandwiches. Stay tuned for planned media events and announcements of ribbon cuttings and more as construction is completed and the grand opening date is planned.Hartford Baking Company currently has three retail locations, located at 965 Famington Avenue, West Hartford, 400 Hebron Ave, Glastonbury, and 767 Farmington Ave, Farmington. All cafes are supported by a central commissary bakery in Bloomfield, which also provides bread - baked onsite, from scratch, fresh nightly - to over ninety local restaurants and retail locations. All of Hartford Baking Company's sandwich recipes feature made-from-scratch proteins and condiments that are also prepared for the business in the commissary. About Hartford Baking Company: Back in 2010, we started with one baker, four baristas, and a mission – to give our hometown a great bakery, and make the greatest products we possibly could. We wanted to attach Hartford’s name to something superlative and create something the community would be proud of. A few years later, with a good dose of hard work and a little luck, we’ve grown to over 50 employees and deliver to restaurants and grocery stores in all corners of the state. Our philosophy is simple: we use the finest flours, quality butter, and European chocolates we can get our hands on. During the growing season, the selection in our pastry case is determined not by our bakers, but by the local farms we partner with for their amazing fruits and vegetables. In an industry obsessed with convenience and speed, we decided to go the other direction. Unbleached flours and preservative-free ingredients are essential to our values and we pride ourselves on doing things the hard way – valuing taste, texture, and process above all else. http://hartfordbaking.com
