Lake Compounce Amusement Park hosts the “Bites and Pints Food & Drink Festival” – taking place every Saturday and Sunday in June. They partnered with local chefs and owners of The Art of Yum to create an elevated menu for the festival with samplings including the award-winning TAOY Taco, Vegan Nachos, Chicken and Waffles, Caramel Banana Pound Cake, local craft beer, and more. Cisco Brewers, the renowned family- and dog-friendly hot spot and producer of world-class beers, wines and spirits, has opened its doors at The Village in Stamford. The launch marks the Nantucket-based brewery’s first outpost in Connecticut. Cisco is hosting previews every weekend in June leading up to its grand opening July 4 weekend. Reserve your spot here. CT’s own Daymon Patterson of Daym Drops has some big news. His “Fresh, Fried & Crispy,” launches on the streaming service June 9. The series takes Patterson, known as Daym Drops, to cities like St. Louis, San Diego, Denver, Cleveland and Birmingham, Ala. as he seeks out the best fried dishes in each destination, “coming from the streets, fancy restaurants, and home kitchens.” (c/o CT Post)
