314 Beer Garden is opening September 25th from 12p-6p. Drink specials all day long. This rustic outdoor beer garden is nestled on Village Creek in South Norwalk, and we hear it’s gonna be fun!

Niantic Bay Oyster Festival is September 25. Let your stomach lead the way as you enjoy local oyster vendors, a variety of food vendors, and beer from local breweries. October 7th & 28th hop aboard the Naugatuck Railroad for a Litchfield Hills BBQ & Tequila Special train ride. Passengers on board this train will enjoy multiple tastings of high quality tequila from Maple End Package Store, as well as some of Litchfield Hill's best BBQ served by Hindsight BBQ of Waterbury while in one of the finest venues Torrington has to offer at Bad Dog Brewing Company. The train will depart Thomaston Station at 6:00pm with dinner at Bad Dog Brewing Company in the beautifully restored Torrington firehouse. The Brass City Brew and Que, September 25th, is one of the largest brew fests in New England, now in its 16th year includes an Amateur Pit Master BBQ competition along with barbeque-inspired food options available for purchase. Sample from over 100 craft beer brews, homebrewers, distilleries in a smaller more intimate setting. Music and entertainment are included in the ticket price. This event will be held rain or shine. Only 500 tickets will be sold. Please note that ticket holders are spectators of the barbecue competition. No samples will be distributed.* Amateur pitmasters can register to compete.

On October 7th at 6pm, the remarkable documentary, A Fine Line, will be screened at The Keeler Tavern in Ridgefield. This feature-length documentary explores the role of women chefs in a changing industry, with a look into a single mom's 25-year journey as a restaurateur. Hearing perspectives and experiences from world-renowned chefs, including: World’s Best Female Chef Dominique Crenn, Emmy Award Winning TV Host Lidia Bastianich, Two Michelin Star Chef April Bloomfield, One of Time Magazine’s Most Influential People Barbara Lynch, First Female Iron Chef Cat Cora, World’s Best Chef Daniel Humm and many more. Claws For a Cause is going down on October 2nd at Nordic Fish in Fairfield. Nordic Fish will be selling lobster by the pound, DOLLAR OVER DOCK PRICE! Every Dollar Over Dock will go to The Cancer Couch Foundation and will be MATCHED by an anonymous donor!

The 3rd Annual Connecticut Craft Beer Fest is October 9 presented by Connecticut Beer Trail & Connecticut Brewers Guide, featuring more than 60 local breweries in all three rooms, plus outside space (weather permitting). VIP and General Admission Sessions available and there will only be a limited amount of tickets available per session. This was a SOLD OUT event last year, so buy early to celebrate the booming craft beer scene by sampling beer from more than 60 of our very own local breweries.

Southington Apple Harvest Festival is October 1 - 10th. The award-winning, hometown event is one of the biggest festivals in New England, the annual Southington Apple Harvest Festival takes place over two weekends with free admission, entertainment, and parking. The festival's highlights include a parade, carnival, contests, live entertainment, original crafts, and delicious food. All during the height of New England's spectacular fall foliage.
