Honey Tasting @ Sport Hill Farm

Stephanie Webster

For anyone who missed the Red Bee Honey tasting event last month, you've got a second chance to enjoy this informative and remarkably sweet culinary experience.

On Tuesday July 13, 2010  7:00 p.m-8:30p.m, come on down to Sport Hill Farm in Easton and join Marina Marchese, owner of Red Bee Apiary in Weston. Learn how honeybees make this liquid gold we call honey, how location and nectar source determines a honeys color and flavor and how honey is harvested and extracted from the comb. Marina will show us how to taste and evaluate honey using the Honey Sommelier tasting guide in her new book "HONEYBEE Lessons from an Accidental Beekeeper." You will be tasting 7 different honeys pairing them with cheese and local bread. Beverages will be included as well as a farm fresh appetizer. So come with a friend and learn about the worlds most important pollinators.

Fee: $25 per person.
